Director of Quality AssuranceSend Message
Regina has been working with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities since graduating from Tennessee Technological University with a BS in Music Therapy in 1993.
Regina has a love for music and for helping people with the power of music therapy. She first worked as a board-certified music therapist with special needs children and seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Regina’s love for music therapy took her to Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute and Clover Bottom Developmental Center where she positively impacted those with mental health and intellectual disabilities.
While working as a music therapist at Clover Bottom, Regina verified social, behavioral, and other quality of life improvements using data. Her interest in quality improvement led to certification as a trainer of the Personal Outcome Measures (POM) with the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). While working in the Compliance Department at Clover Bottom Developmental Center, she taught POM concepts, as well as Individual Support Planning and Active Treatment methods to both new and tenured employees. She also monitored facility compliance with state and federal regulations.
Regina’s commitment to improving the lives of those with Intellectual Disabilities continued when joining the agency in 2007 and progressing to her current role with D&S in 2015.
