The George Davis Service Award was started in 2012 as a way for the Company to recognize an employee that exemplifies the Core Values of D&S, one who is a role model to fellow employees, and one whose mission is to help provide a meaningful life for the individuals we serve. We are very pleased to announce that Jean Dunn, of Longview, Texas, was selected to receive this year’s George Davis Service Award.
Ms. Dunn is the House Manager of the Woodbine ICF home in Longview Texas and has worked for D&S for almost 14 years. Over the years with us, Jean has provided supports to numerous individuals and has played a vital role in helping them to be successful. Because of her unending patience, many of the men she supported were able to leave the Woodbine home with more independent living skills than what they arrived with. Between Jean’s persistence in community involvement and her nurturing spirit, she has been effective with integrating those with behavioral issues into the community and helping them to live more normalized lives. Her accomplishments have been admired by many others both in the Longview area and across the company, as you will see in her nomination letter.
To honor Ms. Dunn, we brought her and her husband to Austin so that we could give back to her as she has given so much to us. Jean was be recognized, pampered, and celebrated!
Please join me in congratulating Ms. Dunn. To learn more about what inspired us to honor her with this award, please read the attached nomination letter.
