HCS Group Homes – Up to four individuals share an HCS group home. Individuals have their own tailored bedroom and have a voice in choosing their housemates. They share living expenses such as rent, utilities, cable TV, and groceries.
ICF-ID Group Homes – We have 6-person, 8-person, 10-person, and 13-person ICF homes located across the state. Individuals often share a bedroom, but they still enjoy personal space and tailor their room to their wants and likes. Life at HomeBig changes often happen in small steps over time. Our homes and supports are designed to help individuals learn life and social skills to support their independence and work toward personal goals every day.
A Place for SocializingSocial activity is an essential part of everyday life. Our shared homes offer large common living areas to encourage group activities like playing games, watching TV, and just talking over the events of the day.
Family MealsFamily-style meals are a tradition at D&S. All shared homes include a dining area for the enjoyment of the residents at mealtime or for special occasions with family and friends. Individuals share responsibility for meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and clean up.
Transportation ServicesBeing “on the go” is a normal way of life for the individuals we support. D&S outfits each home with a vehicle to supplement public transportation and support the outside activities that are important to each individual. Transportation includes rides to work, vocational training, school, medical appointments, shopping, movies, community events, and other activities.
